Relocating

LuzLab is relocating from the Brewery Arts Colony to Orange, CA. We're now sharing a space with Carlab Development (Cld), a concept car builder. LuzLab has worked on several projects with Cld, and this move will expand the capabilities of both LuzLab and Cld.

Automotive X-Prize

LuzLab is going to be designing the rear taillights on the Switch prototype from Motive Industries. The Switch is being entered into the Automotive X-Prize competition and Popular Mechanics recently ranked it as the #7 favorite to win! LuzLab also worked on the taillights of the Aptera Typ 1, the #1 favorite to win the competition...

Lightscapes*LA

The Lightscape*LA received a lot of attention during last week's artwalk and LuzLab is going to start producing the piece! There is one catch though, we need at least five collectors to buy one in order to make it feasible to produce it... We're taking names and $250 deposits to get the ball rolling! Check out the new Lightsworks Catalog in the ordering section.

Naturescapes

The Naturescapes show went great during the Brewery Artwalk and some lamps were sold. Check out the pics in the Gallery and if you're interested in purchasing the lamps at the discounted Artwalk prices be sure to let me know you saw them at Artwalk when you place the order.

ArtWalk Show

LuzLab is having its debut show at the Brewery Artwalk April 5 and 6. A new collection of hanging lamps will be shown. The new lamps incorporate a natural wood silhouette with a subtly changing LED backlight. Six different limited-edition designs are being produced especially for this show. The lamps are available at dealer prices to the general public during Artwalk.

LuzLab will also be showing the Corona lamp as featured in the new Transmaterial 2 http://transstudio.com/tm2/.

The Brewery is the world's largest artist's colony and over 100 artists open their studios to the public during Artwalk. Parking and admission are both free. Read more information and get directions at www.breweryartwalk.com
